Teachers and administrators from across the country met in Atlantic City for the NJ State Employment and Training Commission 2005 One Stop Conference, December 14th 2005.

Ms. Nancy G. Hazelgrove, Manager of Educational Relations and Public Information for the NJ Transfer Initiative (www.njtransfer.org) moderated the Corporation Learning session that was presented by Corporation Learning creator, John A. O'Hara.

The Conference also focused on Literacy, Learning and Life, and in particular Adult Education. Many participants in the Corporation Learning workshop included members of the teaching profession involved in the E.S.L. initiative.
Using a slide presentation and video, John explained to the participants how they can blend course content and employability skills thus preparing students for the workplace of the 21st century. Among the employability skills addressed were: communication, problem solving, positive attitudes and behaviors, adaptability, working with others, and science, technology and mathematics skills.
The participants leaned how to help E.S.L. students acquire proficiency in the English language through presentations.

The participants learned how to use technology to teach in addition to learning how to use technology to learn. New assessment and grading methods, not based on "extra credit" were provided.

The participants learned how to tap into the resources of each student and empower students to become leaders in the classroom and workplace.

Many participants remained in the workshop after
the session ended to speak with john and invite him to present the Corporation
Learning pedagogy for faculty and administrators in their school. If you
